How To Add Columns To Notion Toggles And Template Buttons

There is no ability to create columns inside toggles and templates without this small workaround. Be aware, with future updates, this may no longer be a problem (Dec 26, 2020). In order to implement columns, you must convert a page that already contains the column configuration you desire.

Step 1: Create A Page With Columns

Create a separate page with the column configuration you want. (trigger: /page)

Step 2: Convert Page To Toggle

• Navigate block menu (:::)

• Navigate “Turn Into”

• Find “Toggle List”

2a: Add Columns To Template Button

• Drag configured page into template, and see Step 2

• or … convert to text like in the video above
